That depends so much on the issue, injury or condition. Things like ION detox or Plantar Fasciitis recommendations are around 10 sessions. Light Therapy recommendations are generally 2-3 times per week for 12 sessions. (It takes 24-28 hours for the cell to adjust to the treatment). Many issues are better served by frequency rather than longer sessions. For example, if you are diagnosed with whiplash, shoulder issues – rotator cuff, frozen shoulder, etc., you might want to start with more frequent or daily sessions for a week, then, 2-3 times a week – gradually decreasing the frequency and probably increasing the length of time for the session. While I find that most people do not necessarily recognize the immediate relief, they do recognize when the pain returns or increases. The objective is to lengthen the time between sessions based on how soon the pain returns.
Most importantly, I have special pricing for long term sessions. And when paid in advance, I will schedule our sessions around your schedule, including evenings and weekends.
Light therapy is a new addition to my services and rental options are available for your convenience so that you can treat yourself at home.
Your session will take place in a warm, comfortable, quiet room. Soft music may be played to help you relax. You will lie on a massage or cosmetologist table. Weather permitting, you may chose outside in the meditation garden, next to the waterfall or under the pyramid.
APPLICATION:
Reflexology is applied to specific areas to promote a response from an area far removed from the tissue stimulated via the nervous systems and acupuncture meridians.
Massage is applied to the whole body, muscles and connective tissue locally for local or overall benefits.
MFR is applied to the fascia in specific areas of the body where you may be experiencing pain and where the body responds to the release.
MOVEMENT:
Reflexology uses small muscle movements using the thumbs and fingers.
Massage uses large muscle movements using hands, feet, arms and/or elbows.
MFR uses a light pressure & hold position allowing the fascia time to relax.
FUNCTION:
Reflexology improves the function of organs and glands, all systems of the body. It works with functions of the body.
Massage primarily changes the soft tissue directly stimulated. It works with the structure of the body.
MFR improves the function of the body: organs, muscles, bones, allowing them to move freely within the body.

Aroma therapy research is continuing on a regular basis. Aroma therapy is practiced regularly outside the U.S. Preliminary research indicates that many aroma therapy applications can be beneficial in fighting all types of ailments and discomforts. This research compares the effect of the applications on the bad cells and the effect on surrounding good cells. Unlike chemo or radiation, research has proven that aroma therapy activity on good cells is minimal. Remember a few things: before big drug companies, our grandmothers and various medicine "men", treated ailments with herbs and aroma therapy. Most drugs are made or derived and developed from various plants. Life is fragile. No one can cure everything, not the doctors, drug companies, chemo, radiation, MFR, Reflexology or aroma therapy.

When doTERRA receives a new shipment of oil, that shipment is sent to two separate laboratories for testing. The oils are tested at the beginning of the batch and at the end. (that is 4 times total.) The oil must meet strict standards at all four points of testing or the entire batch is discarded. Any insect sprays or fertilizers that may have been used in the growth of the plant must be removed in order for the oil to pass the certified pure therapeutic test. You select where the Reflexology work is performed: on the hands and / or feet. You remove shoes and socks.
You select the type of REIKI - touching or not. During REIKI my hands are placed either on or over area being worked, you may keep your clothes on.
Aroma Therapy usually includes work on the back & feet. Clothing above the waist, shoes & socks are removed. You are draped with a sheet over the areas not being worked on for warmth. You may request work on the hands in which case you remove no clothing.
MFR - Myofascial Release is worked skin to skin. If you wear loose fitting clothing, nothing needs to be removed.
Light therapy works best when it is close to the skin. Depending on the area being treated, the skin is exposed. For example, if the back is being treated for aches and pains, the shirt is removed. However, if only the arm or shoulder is being treated, only those portions are exposed. (Gowns are available if or when needed.)

We all suffer from stress at one time or another, and aches and pains are a part of daily life. All of these modalities have a long history of promoting relaxation and healing. Anytime you take 30 minutes or so out of your busy day to take care of yourself, you are allowing your body to relax and relieve stress. MFR training included the many benefits of a session immediately after giving birth for both the mother & child. Light therapy is limited to those over 12 years of age and has not been tested during pregnancy.

If you purchase other brands or from your local health store, be sure to follow the instructions that come with the oils you purchase.
You may use oils:
A = aromatically - breathe directly from the bottle; place a drop in the hand then cup over your nose; place a few drops in a diffuser, on a piece of terra cotta, cotton or reed and place on table or in an open container.
T = topically - place a drop or two on the bottom of the feet or on the desired area. DO NOT PUT OILS IN THE EYES, EARS OR NOSE. Apply them topically to the outside, general area of the eyes, ears, nose. As the skin absorbs the oils, the skin will carry the oil closer to the areas. Some oils must be diluted. Refer to the specific oil for dilution. The following key applies to most brands:
N = neat - use directly from the bottle.
S = sensitivity - may cause skin sensitivity.
D = dilute as directed - usually in a carrier oil, I can provide a wonderful fractionated coconut oil that we refer to as FCO.
Oil and Water do not mix. You cannot wash off an oil. If there is any irritation, use oil (FCO or any oil in your kitchen - (olive, canola etc., baby oil, ) to dilute.
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS WITH CHILDREN. Refer to the specific dilution rules for children. THE BOTTOM OF THE FEET HAVE THE TOUGHEST SKIN ALLOWING FOR FEWER SKIN IRRITATIONS, AND THE LARGEST PORES ALLOWING FOR THE FASTEST ABSORPTION.
I = internally - if you are using the doTERRA brand of certified pure essential oils, many of them can be taken internally, follow directions for specific oils and brands. You will find some websites that tell you never to take oils internally. These sites are out of date and it is safe to take some oils internally. Again - follow the directions for the specific oil and brand that you purchase!
Most people feel very relaxed. Some experience freedom from long-term aches and pains developed from tension or repetitive activity. After an initial period of feeling slowed down, people often experience increased energy, heightened awareness, and greater productivity which can last for days. Responses to any of these modalities vary widely.
Reflexology, Reiki or aroma therapy will not make any condition more acute. They help nature to normalize body functions. These sessions relax the stress that can affect your health. They are safe, effective ways to better health. Certain abdominal MFR techniques are not performed if you are pregnant; others are avoided if you have specific conditions. I take a brief medical history from you. I respect your privacy, please share any medical conditions that you might have, in order to avoid complications.
Allergies to essential oils are rare. The pure therapeutic grade oils that I sell have all impurities removed and there are no additives.
Modern / Western (allopathic) medicine has conditioned us to consider many of the body's natural healing efforts as signs of illness. For example, fever is the body’s way of killing unwanted organisms; sneezing clears the head; coughing clears the lungs; yet modern medicine encourages us to stop this process. While side-effects from using essential oils, are rare, responses and reactions are possible. When the body starts to heal itself, it tries to eliminate toxins in the body via any of the senses, runny nose, skin rash, sneezing, constipation, diarrhea, etc.

There are different ways people may respond after receiving a session.
Generally, clients feel relaxed, energized, calm and improved sleep
You may experience a temporary worsening of symptoms at some point during the 48 hours after the session. You may experience a headache or “flu-like” symptoms. If you feel worse, you may think the session is not working, but this type of response in fact means the treatment work is indeed doing its job and helping the body to rid itself of toxins and impurities.
A healing crisis is what people experience after many alternative or wholistic healing techniques. During these techniques, trapped toxins are released and eliminated from the body, The body eliminates toxins in lots of ways - The Skin is the largest elimination organ of the body - rash or irritations may appear. The bowels and urinary tract are the most thought of elimination methods. You may experience constipation or diarrhea. The urine may change color. Excess toxins in the system may cause headaches.
Some of the responses you feel might not be very comfortable. The severity of the responses usually depends on the degree of the imbalances in the body. Most common responses are due to the fact that the body is cleaning itself and getting rid of toxins and waste.
